The RFP for ICT Standards was let this past summer and is in process. Hopefully the appropriate vendor will be selected in the near future and I will be able to announce the winner in upcoming ICT Coordinator meetings. Let me also take this opportunity to encourage adoption of internationally accepted standards for your ICT curriculum. If this action is taken the transition to the new standards, when they arrive, will be much easier.

ICT Coordinators Seminars-Primary-Preparatory-Secondary
This years seminars will primarily focus on integration of technology into the content area curricula. While the standards are being developed it will be important to develop working relationships with the content area teachers to take advantage of the “ict opportunities” already embedded in the content area curriculum standards. With this purpose in mind, the first seminar for Primary Coordinators is scheduled on 21November 2007 from 4PM to 6PM at the Education Institute followed the second seminar for Preparatory and Secondary Coordinators on 5 December 2007 from 4PM to 6PM at the Education Institute.
