Resources: Educational Podcasts- Part 2

name

To read the definition and general use of 'Podcasting' , please read Part one of this series.

Educational Podcasts are emerging as a useful educational tool, both for use with students and for teachers’ professional growth. More sites emerge every day. Most sites allow you to download free of charge to your computer or to your IPod.

Many of your students who really enjoy using technology will enjoy learning independently using podcasts. Perhaps using podcasts in your classroom will help you differentiate instruction for students’ needs. Here are a few representative sites to try

There are many, many more sites. Go to your search engine and type in educational podcasts and you will see many pages of sites, each with a separate focus.

Try podcasts with your students and for your own learning. I think you will enjoy what you find and what you learn. If you have a long drive to and from work, perhaps you could listen to podcasts and gain new information, new ideas for teaching, and hear more English.
